Tucker reacts: ‘Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family’ (2024)

Tucker Carlson offered a rather harsh response to former President Donald Trump being found guilty by a jury in one of the most blue districts in America on trumped-up criminal hush money charges.

Taking to X, the former Fox News host reminded followers that those now defending this miscarriage of justice perpetrated for political purposes against the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee are essentially a threat to all Americans.

At the same time, Carlson predicted that Trump. who is hands down the most persecuted man in modern American history, would win in November despite the “third world” tactics employed against him by Democrats — IF he isn’t “killed first.”

“Import the Third World, become the Third World. That’s what we just saw. This won’t stop Trump. He’ll win the election if he’s not killed first. But it does mark the end of the fairest justice system in the world. Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family,” Carlson tweeted.

In effect, Carlson is pointing out that if political class Democrats can employ lawfare against a former U.S. president then they can do the same against anyone they see as a threat to their lust for power.

Many share that sentiment, including billionaire Elon Musk, who posted on his social media platform: “Indeed, great damage was done today to the public’s faith in the American legal system. If a former President can be criminally convicted over such a trivial matter—motivated by politics rather than justice—then anyone is at risk of a similar fate.”

Musk was responding to a tweet pointing to just a few of the travesties that have occurred in recent times that have gone unprosecuted. Chief among these complaints are the alleged criminal actions of the corrupt Hillary Clinton campaign, that launched the entire “Get Trump” feeding frenzy, as The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway noted:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a sharp legal mind who graduated from Harvard Law, summed up better than most the rule of law being held “captive to the political agenda of some kangaroo court.”

“Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to ‘get’ Donald Trump,” he posted. “That this case—involving alleged misdemeanor business records violations from nearly a decade ago—was even brought is a testament to the political debasem*nt of the justice system in places like New York City. This is especially true considering this same district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct in a way that has endangered law-abiding citizens in his jurisdiction.”
