Pampered Chef Style Apple Crisp (For Microwave or Oven) Recipe - Food.com (2024)

"This is one of the recipes that was served at the very first Pampered Chef party I attended, back in 1994. It is a very easy recipe (the hardest part is prepping the apple slices) and can be made in either microwave or the oven. I have made it both ways and prefer the oven version, but it is awfully nice that this can also be tossed into the microwave for a last minute dessert on busy nights. The demonstrator had a handy tip for the apples: After she ran them through the apple peeler/slicer gizmo they sell, she dropped them into a bowl filled with a can of lemon-lime soda (like Sprite) - and then drained them and patted them dry before using in this recipe. This way the apples didn't turn all sludgy brown before she was ready to demonstrate the recipe itself. I am allowing a large amount of prep time for those of you who don't own one of the PC apple gizmos - once your apples are ready, it only takes about 5 minutes to prepare the crisp for baking."

  2. This is my all-time favorite recipe from when I sold Pampered Chef YEARS ago; have not found a better one since!

  3. Really good and ready in no time! You'd never know it came from the microwave. I used 7 large beat up apples in an uncovered PC Deep Covered Baker. Added 4-5 minutes to the microwave time. Lots of delicious crunchy topping, and all without heating up the kitchen. Thanks for the recipe!

  4. I haven't made a HeatherFeather recipe in a long time. So glad that I found this delicious treat. My dh was in heaven. The recipe was qiuck and easy to make with great results. I used a variety of apples that were laying around for a lovely mellow flavor. The graham crackers was a nice addition. Thanks so much for sharing your recipe.

  5. I never expect microwave stuff to turn out yummy, so I was definately suprised by how good this was! It took me just under 30 min's to prep & cook. I used 6 low fat graham crackers and added in a bit extra oats. This seems like a great recipe to let the kids do (almost) solo! Making this again soon!
