Awesome to hear the president of Hy-Vee supermarkets Aaron Wiese spend 90% of his airtime at Groceryshop talking about their health & wellness work. Hy-Vee, Inc. is a conventional grocer with 240+ stores in the midwest...Want a crazy stat? 60% of Americans want to eat healthy, BUT 90% don't know how.GOOD FOOD (CAN BE) MEDICINE and grocers are uniquely positioned to support consumers' health journey. Not with a pharmacy, but with access to fresh, clean great tasting foods AND tools and incentives to eat healthy.In turn, the retailer can tap into new revenue/funding sources (see what online grocer Mercato has done with "Thriving Communities"), meet their community's needs + help them achieve their goals, AND increase customer LTV doing it!This is where people, planet, and profit can align (the triple bottom line). Excited to see more grocers start working to seize this massive opportunity!
